And now I have to decide between two dresses to wear them with on NYE.
Option B:
Help choose!
Now, onto the serious stuff. I made a new soup!
Spicy Sweet Potato & Lentil Soup
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 celery ribs, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 large carrots, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup lentils (I used 1/2 cup red, 1/2 cup green)
- 6 cups broth
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne
- s&p
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add the celery and carrot and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add sweet potato, lentils, stock, cumin, and cayenne.
- Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes.
Enjoy!
I like the purple. It seems my classic move is to always buy the solid colors so I can mix and match with accessories and such...
ReplyDeleteDress 1 fo sho. Matches the glittery shoes so perfectly!! I need to get a pair of shoes like that stat...
ReplyDeleteI reeeeeally love the purple dress!!!
ReplyDelete#2!!
ReplyDeleteHow about I have christian louboutins just like that, I got them for my wedding, and I love the glitter!!!
ReplyDeleteDress 2 for sure!!!!!!!! I love u girl! Muah!!!
Excellent choice on the shoes! Steve Madden's got some amazing platforms out this season. Definitely wear them with #2, the purple. The color's better for an evening outing and the shoes will provide the sparkle and stand out more against the darker color - add some sparkly, chunky earrings as well and you'll be all set!
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes! And I vote for the purple dress! You are gonna snag a hot man in that outfit- if you don't already have a hot date! Soup looks delish!
ReplyDeleteDress A hands down. Matches the shoes. If you don't get it, I'll wear it.
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are gorg and I am really loving option B! Maybe I am partial to purple, but it's a great find!
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! And I vote for dress #2!
ReplyDeleteOption B! The first dress is cute but I think it's too matchy matchy. The purple is sexier too.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I'm in love with those glitter heels! And it's a tough decision but I vote for Option B.
ReplyDeleteOption B!!!!!! They would make SUCH a cute pair!
ReplyDeleteI am planning on making a lentil soup tonight! Yours looks very yum! If i had some sweet potatoes - I would totally make this. Shoes are so cute- and BOTH dresses are adorable. But I think I like #1 best
ReplyDeleteI like the second dress!!!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Lulus cover return shipping? Look into it, I think they do. If they do, get both! The sizing is a bit inconsistent and you don't want to be stuck with 1 amazing dress that doesn't fit.
ReplyDeleteBut, I like the purple :) and the sparkle shoes!
Option B!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the shoes and dress #2. The soup looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteooooh thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteDress B/option 2 is AWESOME! The other is super cute but this one wins for me!
Love the sparkle- dress number 2!
ReplyDeleteI love the deep colors :)
The purple dress, DEFINITELY! You'll be a kitten in that one :)
ReplyDeletePS - I'm going to be starting my blog again next week. Yay!!

The purple dress! The color will look so pretty with your blonde hair. My friend bought those shoes and when I saw them I nearly died marveling at how beautiful they are. Too bad I'm 6 ft-those babies would make me about as tall as an NBA player. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThe first dress would be absolutely fabulous on you....I feel like the purple would almost make you look washed out (if that's possible).
ReplyDeletePS - LOVE THOSE SHOES!!!! I love shoes, preiod. I don't shop for clothes, but I can throw down dollars for some shoes!
ok well both options are AWESOME but I would vote for the purple dress :) SO cute. Ahhh love the heels too. So perfect for NYE :)

ReplyDeleteWhat the hell...I check back in here to get that damn soup recipe and I notice that I clearly don't fit in with the rest of your followers (that just made you sound like a cult leader or something)! Clearly that purple dress is winning. Boo...I still say the first one rocks more.
