Foodie Goodies

In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite products. This will be updated regularly as I fall in love with new goodies.

1. popchips!

Words cannot express how much I love these popped chips! They are an all natural, healthier alternative to regular chips and come in a bunch of delicious flavors. I can't get enough of the barbecue and sweet potato popchips. SO good.

2. Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almond Milk, Original
I rarely drink moo moo milk anymore. Almond Breeze is much creamier and tastes delicious with cereal and in oats. It has only 60 calories per 8oz serving, no cholesterol, only 8 carbs, 7 grams of sugar, and even has 1 gram of fiber. The only downfall is that it has much less protein than skim milk.

3. Naturally More nut butters:
This peanut butter tastes so natural! It's very addicting. The addiction of flax seed gives it a light crunch and 50% more fiber than regular brands (4g)! Each 2 tablespoon serving has less fat (11g), 25% more protein (10g), 20% fewer carbs (4g), and contains no trans fats. See my review here. I also highly recommend their almond butter.

4. Greek Yogurt:

Fage

Fage (pronounced "fa-yeh") Greek yogurt is 100% natural. It contains no added sweeteners or preservatives. The 2% Blueberry is my absolute favorite flavor, but all of their flavors are great. I also love their cherry, strawberry, peach, plain, and honey flavors, in that order. A 5.3 oz cup is an excellent serving of protein (11g in the 2% and 20g in the 0%). It is perfect after a workout! They also make 0% and full fat flavors.

Chobani

Chobani is awesome. Not only are their nutritional stats very impressive, but they have more flavors than any other Greek yogurt brand. They're very flavorful and even have bits of fruit on the bottom. My very favorite flavors are Pineapple, Blood Orange, and Raspberry. Follow them on Twitter - they are such a  fun and friendly company.

5. Gnu Foods Flavor & Fiber Bars

Each flavor & fiber bar contains contains 140 cals and 12g of fiber -- that's 50% of your daily fiber requirement. There are 7 flavors (Banana Walnut, Chocolate Brownie, Cinnamon Raisin, Espresso Chip, Lemon Ginger, Orange Cranberry and Peanut Butter). Cinnamon Raisin and Banana Walnut are my top 2. See my review here.

6. Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Peanut Butter
If you're in the mood for a sweet peanut butter, this is your gem. They make a bunch of other flavors, but this is my favorite so far. It is absolutely delicious on toast, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, or straight out of the jar. It's loaded with cinnamon and contains raisins as well.

7.  Luna Bars

Luna Bars were created by Clif and designed to better suit women's needs. Luna Bars range from 170-190 calories and contain 100% natural, organic, wholesome ingredients. There are 16 awesome flavors available and my favorites are Iced Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Peppermint Stick, and Peanut Honey Pretzel. Luna also makes Mini Bars and Protein Bars.

8. Kashi Go Lean Original Cereal

I have been eating this cereal every day for months. Seriously. A serving contains only 140 calories and has 13 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber. It fills me up for quite a while, and topped with cinnamon and fresh fruit, it's delicious!

Sabra's hummus is incredibly smooth. They have a ton of flavors, but Roasted Garlic, Supremely Spicy, and Jalapeño are my favorites. Hummus is great with pita chips, pretzels, veggies, and even apple slices!

10. Chobani Greek Yogurt

This lowfat greek yogurt is very creamy with a light, refreshing lemon flavor. . Chobani Greek yogurt is all natural with no preservatives or artificial flavors. My favorite flavors are Pineapple and Passionfruit.

11. My absolute favorite foodie product is my Camelbak water bottle.
I have the 24oz (.75L) bottle in both lime green and teal. Camelbak water bottles are spill-proof and BPA-free. I carry this baby with me everywhere to make sure I am always hydrated. I usually drink 4-5 bottles a day.

Staples in my diet include:
  • WATER WATER WATER
  • bananas
  • blueberries
  • strawberries
  • Greek yogurt
  • cottage cheese (no salt added) - great source of protein
  • goat cheese - a lower-calorie cheese with tons of flavor
