Breaking Dawn Midnight Showing

Last night was the premiere of Breaking Dawn: Part I! Around 9 p.m., a few of us girls met up to head over to Cinebarre where they were having a pre-show party. They had tents set up with people serving food, handing out free glow-in-the-dark fangs, holding giveaways, and doing fortune readings! We got there pretty early to get a spot close to the front and center.

As soon as we got our fangs, we popped them in our mouths for photos. Sorry if these pictures disturb you – they disturb me too.

It was so cold outside. Like in the 40s I think! Haha. We are not used to these arctic temps in the South.

Mary and I ventured over to the fortune teller. Mary said her reading was very accurate.

I thought my reading was just wacky. The only part that seemed true was when she said that I am typically aggressive and confrontational, haha. She then said that as I get older, I will become more feminine and less aggressive. WHAT?? I asked her if she was drinking a beer and she said no.

In case you haven’t seen it, here is the Breaking Dawn Trailer. It would give me chills every time I saw it on t.v.!

Once the movie came on, it was much easier to forget about how cold we were. I don’t want to give away any details, but  will say that I enjoyed the movie a lot! It was definitely my favorite of them all. There were a few comical parts, and only one very cheesy part. I actually got scared during the birthing and transformation scenes. Totally creepy…

CSA Week #6 and Bridesmaids

Today I picked up my 6th box of fresh produce from my CSA with Pinckney’s. I was so excited to pick this box up as this week’s list of goodies was huge!

In this box:

• Butter Crunch Lettuce
• Carrots
• Collards
• New Potatoes
• Onions 
• Pattypan squash
• Pickling cumbers – heck YES
• Rutabagas
• Swiss Chard  
• Turnips
• Yellow Squash
• Zucchini

This was by far the best box yet! How adorable is the pattypan squash! (far right corner) I’m pumped about getting beets again and oh my gosh, I have soooo many potatoes. Someone needs to come over and mash with me!!

The first thing I noticed in this box was this peculiar looking carrot. When I pulled it out, this is what I found: SIAMESE CARROTS!!!

After picking up my CSA box, Lucy and I met Sarah at Cinebarre. After meeting on Sunday, we planned on seeing Bridesmaids. I think every single one of my friends (besides Lucy and Sarah) had already seen it. They have all been raving about how funny it was, so I was dying to go. It was freaking HILARIOUS! Watch the trailer, please, just do it!

While in the theatre, I got an email from another blog friend, Caroline, who was in another room watching Something Remembered. Caroline must have been thinking about my previous visit to Cinebarre when I ordered frickles (otherwise known as Big Lebowskies at Cinebarre).

She wrote: “I was ordering a diet coke, but evidently I got too excited about frickles! Diet frickles might be cool. But not a small!!!!” Oopsies!

So, Caroline…did they serve you Diet Lebowskies? Ha! I hope you got your order fixed!

Are you married? How many times have you been a bridesmaid? I’ve been a bridesmaid three times and I have a feeling I’ll be one a few more times.
